COALCO was awarded with the "Breakthrough of the Year" Commemorative Sign for the "Central Dry Port" project presented during the Conference "Warehousing Overthrow: Who is in Power?"
One of the most important events in this segment gathered the leading market players on November 24: tenants, developers and representatives of major logistical companies. Colliers International and Kommersant Publishing House acted as arrangers of the 4th Annual Round Table for Warehousing Real Estate. The discussion participants reviewed the main trends of the warehousing real estate market in 2016 and generated a forecast for subsequent years. The discussion touched upon new instruments and technologies used by owners to retain and attract customers as well as upon efficiency of investments into the warehousing facilities.
For COALCO, the forum became of a place to meet professional market players and negotiate with potential partners whose interest in the project grew after Coalco Development and KTZ Express signed an agreement for joint implementation of the "Central Dry Port" project in the Domodedovo Urban District of the Moscow Region.*
Nikolai Melkis, Central Dry Port Project Manager, spoke about the project format, construction deadlines and financial indicators during his presentation. According to him, the terminal and container sites are being designed in parallel, the railroad infrastructure will begin to be built in April 2017, and stage one will be commissioned in 2019.
* On October 4, 2016, Coalco Development and KTZ Express, a subsidiary of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ, Kazakhstan Railroads) signed an agreement for implementation of the Central Dry Port (CDP) Project in Domodedovo. A big freight transport center is planned to be built on the M-4 Don Highway as part of the project to handle container cargoes carried by the New Silk Road and the Trans-Siberian Transport Corridor.
